Entering the Craft: The Path to Freemasonry
Becoming a Freemason is easier than most people think. While our order is rooted in tradition and values, it welcomes good men from all walks of life. The benefits of Freemasonry extend beyond camaraderie—they include:
- Moral and ethical development to build strong character
- Spiritual growth to manifest positivity in life
- Charitable service to assist widows, orphans, and communities
The journey begins with a simple principle: “2 Be 1 Ask 1.” If you see a Masonic Brother, don’t hesitate to ask how to become a member. Let’s keep the Masonic Light shining bright!
Dedication to the Craft: A Lifelong Journey
Freemasons are committed to self-improvement, service, and unity. Every Mason embarks on a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment, supported by a brotherhood of good men. This journey starts at the door, where each seeker is guided toward the Light—a symbol of knowledge, integrity, and purpose.
Freemasonry is a lifelong commitment to building a better world, one Mason at a time. No good man travels alone. Join us on this path of brotherhood and growth.
WHAT IS THE BLUE LODGE
THE FOUNDATION OF THE CRAFT

The Blue Lodge is the foundational body of Freemasonry. It is the primary meeting place for Master Masons that have completed the Three Degrees of Masonry.
Blue Lodge Masonry refers to the foundational degrees of Freemasonry, often considered the core of Masonic teachings. It consists of the first three degrees:
- Entered Apprentice – The initiation stage, where a candidate begins their Masonic journey and learns the basic principles of the fraternity.
- Fellowcraft – A deeper exploration of Masonic knowledge, focusing on personal growth and the development of skills.
- Master Mason – The highest degree within the Blue Lodge, granting full membership and access to the deeper philosophical teachings of Freemasonry.
The term “Blue Lodge” originates from the symbolic use of the color blue, which represents truth, wisdom, and brotherhood in Masonic tradition. Blue Lodges operate under the jurisdiction of a Grand Lodge and serve as the entry point for those seeking to advance into appendant Masonic bodies such as the Scottish Rite or York Rite.
